If you’ve ever been over at a friends house trying to fix their computer and you need to get into their router but don’t know the password this list is for you! Nothing is more annoying than searching the net for a manual to some obscure router that was free after the rebate. Then you have to search the manual for the default username and password for the router. This list has the default username and password for nearly everything. It can save a whole lot of time searching through manuals and can also provide a bit of late night fun. For example, you’ve always wanted to mess with a Cisco Pix Firewall but can’t afford one, so now just scan open telnet ports for a Pix firewall and try the defaults. If it lets you in you, play, if it doesn’t let you in continue searching. Just remember it’s illegal! There are honey pots out there that are looking and waiting for someone to scan and break in. They log your information and turn it over to the authorities. You can beat that by using The Onion Router but that can be a very slow network.
