If you’re using Windows Vista you might know that Phoenix Lab’s PeerGuardian doesn’t work. So if you like knowing that fewer people are able to spy on you while you are downloading the latest version of Linux Mint or those songs from Nine Inch Nails off of The Pirate Bay, you should add this ipfilter.dat file to uTorrent for some relief.
1. Download the file to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\utorrent.
2. Open uTorrent
3. Click Options
4. Click Preferences
5. Click Advanced
6. Make sure ipfilter.enable = true
If ipfilter.enable was false you will have to restart uTorrent after changing it to true.
Viola, now your neighbor without the computer is more likely to get that letter from the RIAA.
Update: Automatically Download ipfilter.dat For uTorrent

I find it oddly telling that this was posted on my birthday.
Hopefully some of this will help me crack my router, whose password I managed to accidentally change to god knows what >__
